RecentResults in Reading
Two boys, one in Year 4 and the other in Yr. 6, did the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program one month apart at the end of the Queensland School Year in 2006. Both boys wanted to improve in reading.
Student A was aged 10 years and 11 months, and Student B was 10 years and 6 months. A few weeks before their Skill Development Week, they did a standardized reading test which measured the strength of their word attack skills and their ability to read for meaning.
Immediately after the program (i.e., on Day 5 of their Skill Development Week) a parallel reading test was administered to measure the progress made in that short period of time.
